REACH OUT - Empowering Teachers to Become Trauma-Sensitive Schools The Reach Out project aims to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills to meet the psychosocial needs of students affected by natural disasters and increase their social cohesion.

Aim of the Project

The project aims to improve teachers’ knowledge and skills to meet the psychosocial needs of students affected by natural disasters and to increase their social cohesion.

-To  increase teachers’ awareness about the psychological effects that students may experience after natural disasters.

-To help teachers identify students’ psychosocial needs and provide appropriate strategies to meet these needs.

-To help teachers develop empathy for the difficulties students face after natural disasters and enable them to communicate effectively with students.

-Identify students who have difficulty returning to normalcy after natural disasters despite classroom activities and refer them to specialized support
