he transnational meeting of the Reach Out – Empowering Teachers to Become Trauma-Sensitive Schools Project was hosted by the Governorship of Istanbul on 19 July 2024 with the participation of all partner institutions. Project objectives, products and activities were presented in detail at the meeting. The analyses of the 5th, 6th and 7th grade curricula of the courses determined by the partner institutions within the scope of the project were evaluated and the relevant outcomes were determined in line with the opinions of the participants.
In the next stage of the project, it was decided to hold the international project management meeting online on 11 September 2024 for the creation of course contents for the determined course outcomes and the draft evaluation of these contents.
The main objective of the Reach Out Project (2023-2-TR01-KA220-SCH-000170175) is to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers to meet the psychosocial needs of students affected by natural disasters and to increase their social cohesion. The project is supported by the European Commission through the Turkish National Agency and Istanbul Governorship is the project coordinator.
